HENRY N. COBB Architect
The late Henry N. Cobb was a founding member of one of the world’s leading architectural firms, Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. Cobb was also the former Chair of the Department of Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and the winner of the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council on Tall Buildings. Mr. Cobb has designed a number of landmark buildings in Boston, most notably the John Hancock Tower, which is widely regarded as the foremost modern building in the City. The Hancock Tower was awarded the American Institute of Architects’ prestigious 25 Year Award, the AIA’s highest recognition given to a building. Included among Mr. Cobb’s other projects are Fountain Place in Dallas, the ABN AMRO Bank Head Office in Amsterdam and Tour EDF at La Defense in Paris.
